Guardian Angels Program
Guardian Angels

Those truly “above and beyond” people that are a part of the caregiving community are gratefully recognized and honored through Angel On My Shoulder’s “Guardian Angel” Program. These selfless individuals give of themselves from many dimensions to support, comfort, and console those living with cancer.
Anyone can be a Guardian Angel: spouse, sibling, child, family member, nurse, doctor, hospice worker, health care professional or a longtime friend. Time is not a factor. A Guardian Angel could have helped with someone’s struggle with cancer, perhaps for years, or is just now joining to make that difficult battle less painful.
A “just for you” gift package and a well-deserved certificate of commendation are presented to these deserving Guardian Angels in recognition of their tireless and incredible efforts. We salute our wonderful Angel messengers who deliver these specially prepared gifts of love and appreciation.
Introducing . . . Angel Halo Recognition
“Our new “wing” of Guardian Angel”
In Webster’s dictionary “Halo” is described as “The aura of glory surrounding a person or thing”.
All of us at one time or another fit that description whether it is out of concern for a family member, friend, co-worker or neighbor. Our Halo Recognition is designed to honor those that climb that ladder of support a step higher. Angel On My Shoulder recognizes these caring Angels in a special way. We continue, with genuine compassion, to touch the hearts of those living with or affected by cancer.
If you know of someone who cares without limits and gives without reservation, someone whose turn it is to be lifted up, please contact us through the information listed at the end of this newsletter.
It is a great honor for Angel On My Shoulder to recognize the following Guardian Angels and Halo Recognition recipients who have come to our attention since our last newsletter.

“Your Angel Wings are Made of Love”
Halo Awards…
“My brother-in-law lost two wives to cancer. He lovingly saw them through this terrible disease with patience, hope and understanding”. Donna
“Evelyn has worked at the hospital for 30+ years helping everyone she could, and taking care of our 87-year-old father. She raised six children, helping her second son with cancer”. Mike
Guardian Angel…
“Keith and Cindy have opened their home to my mother, who is battling cancer and now in hospice. My mother’s home could not provide her with a calm atmosphere or the room needed for a hospital bed and medical supplies. Keith and Cindy offered their home to my mother when we were told hospice was her only choice. Never have either of them uttered a negative word about taking her in nor about her husband and five children moving in and out on a daily basis. They are simply incredible people and these words do not do them enough justice”. - Tammie
