"I was diagnosed with multiple melanoma in January. After months of chemo, a bone marrow transplant and a number of complications and hospital stays, I was at Onocology West in Milwaukee for a bone strengthening treatment. Penny, one of the wonderful receptionists who remembers everyone's name, face and spouse after one visit (even when you come in and don't have an appointment) was handing out your gift bags. The gift bag made my day, especially the angel pin. I wear it every day now and I am very moved by the message on the card. I read it each time I put the pin on and other times during the day. This small gesture gives me great comfort. Just wanted to thank all the volunteers and donors for the work, that by fate, came to help and "uplift me" at just the right time.
God bless you all."

"Thank you for the garden stakes. I am marking one year since my last chemo and had a doctor's appointment in May. These appointments always make me nervous and I'm worried that they will again find something. Everything is going well right now. I thank you for you support and everytime I see the garden stake I think of the special people around me that helped me through the last year with chemo/radiation and all the appointments. We get to the point where we really need a nudge here and there to do what we have to for treatments. Thanks for your nudges from all of us."

"Once again we have received the beautifully made quilts for the hospital cancer unit. The little children living with cancer are so happy to receive them. They bring them great comfort and love. It truly warms your heart to know that they can cuddle up with a precious quilt and stuffed animal during this difficult time in their young lives."

"I'm writing on behalf of our five-year-old son, Ben. He'd like to thank you for the nice package that he received during one of his hospital stays for chemotherapy treatments. He was very pleased to get such a nice present and beautiful blanket. The stuffed animal included in the package (a fish named "Phinny") has been spending the nights in bed with him. Thanks for making his stay extra special!"
